The Lake Havasu Marine Association is dedicated to promoting awareness, conservation, and protection of the marine environment in and around Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

πŸ’‘ About LHMA

The Lake Havasu Marine Association (LHMA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to promote awareness, conservation, and protection of the marine environment in and around Lake Havasu, Arizona. Through our various initiatives, we strive to ensure that the lake remains a safe and enjoyable recreational destination for all.

We are an active and engaged association that works closely with local stakeholders to ensure our mission is achieved. For nearly 30 years, we have been the community leader in lake issues, serving boaters through education, safety programs, and environmental conservation efforts.

Founded in 2005 and led by an elected Board of Directors, LHMA has grown to include over 75 member companies comprising both marine and community-based businesses plus several dozen dedicated local volunteers. In 2013, we received the prestigious Hollister Award from the Western States Boating Administrator Association for outstanding contributions to boating safety and education.

Clean Lake & Beach Initiative

Since 2009, LHMA has operated a complimentary "trash bag" program for boater convenience. We maintain over 60 trash bag posts on beaches around the lake, filled with free plastic bags. Our dedicated volunteers make regular visits to keep posts stocked and remove residual trash, encouraging boaters to "pack it in, and pack it out."

Quagga Mussel Prevention Program

Our "Sticker A Mussel" Program has received five Federal Grants and provided one-on-one education to over 33,000 boaters over a five-year period. We help prevent the spread of invasive quagga mussels through education and awareness campaigns.

Lake Havasu Boat Show

Our premier annual event showcasing the latest in marine products, services, and recreational opportunities. This event serves as our primary source of operating revenue to fund our conservation and safety programs.

I'm proud to support an organization that genuinely cares about our environment and local families.
